About Abigail Thurston, L.M.T., C.L.P.
Abigail experienced symptoms of chronic fatigue in high school that were severe enough to cause her parents to enroll her in home school as she could not maintain a regular school schedule. As an adult, an automobile accident resulted in a cervical whiplash injury. This accident on top of pre-existing fatigue sent her health in a downward spiral with an eventual diagnosis of fibromyalgia, chronic pain and daily migraines.
She sought answers and relief from the traditional medical community. Over several years, Medical doctors prescribed medications that caused side effects such as, 50lbs of weight gain, extreme nausea, candida, and unbearable fatigue. Some of the prescriptions she took were later featured on T.V commercials with lawyers saying, 'if you took this prescription, call us now.' Physical therapy was tried and failed to resolve the pain as well. A pain specialist contributed to a depressive funk with the words, "you will never get better."
Abigail had faith that her body had the ability to heal itself, if she took care of it with natural remedies. Eventually, an energy medicine practitioner helped her where traditional doctors had failed. Every cell in her body vibrated with excitement at her first appointment as the answers she sought were being revealed! Abigail was experiencing adrenal exhaustion, joint pains, food allergies, digestive complaints, a hiatal hernia, lymphatic congestion, candidiasis, heavy metal toxicity, sluggish thyroid, gallbladder and colon and lots of emotional baggage, to name a few of the issues that needed balancing. Energy Kinesiology identified the areas of imbalance and returned innate harmony using the subtle energetic systems. Over time, her body began to detoxify and rebuild.
With the new knowledge of areas of her body and mind that were out of balance, many trips to the hospital library, (pre-internet) book stores and health food stores followed. The education and support of regular energy work sparked her desire to take responsibility for her natural healing, physically, emotionally and biochemically. She learned to love herself by making wise choices in the areas of food, water, exercise, rest, and most importantly, owning her power. In time she also made the choices to free herself from a relationship that was not working and from a strict religious organization.
Energy work buoyed her spirit to make the life style changes that helped her to come to a place of balance. Regular energy work provided a checkup and balanced areas in need of loving attention. She continues to use energy work on herself to boost energy, reduce pain, improve immunity and activate natural healing.

Abigail holds a New York state massage license and is an Ordained Minister. She holds certificates in Touch for Health, LifeLine Technique (Certified Practitioner of the month August 2010), Emotional Freedom Technique, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, Massage Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage and Hot Stone Massage. She has also studied, Polarity Therapy, Total Body Modification, Myofascial Release, Spiritual Response Therapy, Shiatsu, Herbology, Raindrop Technique, Quantum Touch and PSYCH-K. Each course of study brought her a unique perspective in vibrational gifts and healing potential.
Abigail has a compassionate interest in assisting her clients to empower themselves with natural healing techniques to reduce pain naturally and reach their goals of joy, love and peace in body and in heart.
