Specialties:

Ayurvedic Bodywork
Ayurveda is the ancient science of natural health and healing from India. Traditional Ayurvedic massages are whole body therapies using warm oil and specific strokes to relax the central nervous system, remove deeply held toxins, and promote overall health and healing.

Ayurvedic treatments offered

Abhyanga-Garshan
This treatment begins with a dry lymphatic massage using special silk gloves that increases circulation and exfoliates the skin, allowing for better absorption of the oils. This is followed by application of warm oil with gentle rhythmic strokes that deeply relax the body and mind, increase circulation, improve joint mobility and skin texture and stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

Vishesh
Vigorous deep rhythmic strokes that help to break up muscle adhesions, improve circulation and remove deep seated toxins from the tissues. This is an energizing treatment.

Marma therapy
Gentle stimulation of vital energy points using light touch, warm oil and aromatherapy. Marma therapy removes energy blockages and promotes the flow of healing energy throughout the body. It both deeply relaxes and energizes the mind as well as the body.

Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage (which also has its roots in Ayurveda)
Often described as assisted yoga, this traditional full-body massage is performed on a floor mat. Thai massage uses rhythmic movement through different poses, pressure along energy lines, gentle stretching and conscious breathing to improve muscle and joint tone, strength and flexibility, improve circulation, tonify organs and relieve muscular and emotional tension. Please wear comfortable loose clothing for Thai massage, as you will be fully clothed throughout the session.

Positional Release Therapy
Uses gentle yet very effective techniques developed by an Osteopath to release muscular tension and pain and increase range of motion. This can be done as a stand-alone therapy or incorporated into a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.
