Healing Touch
Healing Touch is a therapeutic energy-based approach to healing. Techniques use light touch either on or off the body to assess, clear, energize and balance the body's energy system, thus influencing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being of the recipient. Healing Touch may be used to address both localized or full body issues. It's concepts incorporate teachings from many well known healers as well as shamanic and aborigine traditions and is intended to work with traditional Western medical approaches.
Healing Touch For Animals®
The goal of Healing Touch For Animals is the same as it is for humans--to assess, clear, balance and energize the body's energy system thus promoting healing and wholeness. The techniques for this modality have been modified allowing for a more effective application to animals. As in humans, the techniques are intended to bridge holistic healthcare with traditional medicine. A deeper connection between humans and animals also results though this practice.
Reiki
This is an ancient healing art thought to have originated in Tibet although it comes to us most recently from Japan. It is a hands-on form of healing using light touch, and its teachings and techniques are passed down from Master to student. Reiki is an energetic process that may be used either by itself or in conjunction with other healing systems, and is safe and effective. It, too, can be used on animals and even plants.

About Muffy
After practicing for many years as a Registered Nurse in a traditional medical practice, Muffy began to develop an interest in the holistic approach to health. Her search in the holistic realm has led to studies in Reiki, Healing Touch, Healing Touch for Animals®, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Equine Bodywork, Animal Communication, Essential Oils and Sound Therapy via the use of tuning forks. Her love of horses has led her to broaden her practice to include both humans and animals. She is currently a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and is certified in both Healing Touch and Healing Touch for Animals®.
Muffy is a member of the Albany chapter of the Holistic Nurses Association, Healing Touch Professional Association, the International Association of Reiki Practitioners and the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork.
